Kazakhstan through the eyes of a gamer

Each media is a unique way of describing the world around us: the history of our country comes to life in books, photographs allow us to capture a moment and stop it in one frame, with the help of videos we can soar over the peaks of mountains inaccessible in real life.

What view of Kazakhstan can video games give us?

We will answer this question within the GameLab KBTU game library at IT Fest on November 27-28!!

What awaits the guests of the GameLab KBTU game library?

  • 4 computer games about Kazakhstan: from an RPG based on Turkic mythology to a detective thriller in the setting of Almaty of the 90s
  • 2 board games (strategy and memory game)
  • 1 VR quest on the history of Kazakhstan
  • Impressive photo zone with AR for Instagram
  • Exhibition of AI works “What would cult video games look like if they were set in Kazakhstan?”
  • The opportunity to find out with the help of a mini-test “Who are you in the game studio?”, and also: to play and communicate with like-minded people, find out how and where they teach how to develop games, why and who is engaged in video game research in Kazakhstan
