General provisions


This Regulation defines the status, goals, objectives, the procedure for organizing and conducting a robotics competition, its organizational and methodological support, the procedure for participation in the competition, and the determination of winners.

  • The organizer of the competition is NAO "Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after G. Daukeev" (hereinafter – AUES) and Astana IT University (hereinafter – AITU)
  • The competition is open to schoolchildren - teams from 12 to 16 years old engaged in robotics in general education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are no more than three people in each team. To participate in the competition, you need to register and send the data to the mail y.nurgizat@aues.kz .
  • The following events are held within the framework of the competition:
  • The qualifying (presentation stage), in which the participants of the competition need to remotely present their project, demonstrate its visualization, provide information on the technical, as well as the software part of the robot.
  • The final (republican stage) implies the arrival of the winners of the qualifying round in Astana, on the basis of the EXPO Congress Center, to evaluate the performance of robots, pass a specially prepared obstacle course, summarize and award the winners.
  • Robots based on any electronic constructors can take part in the competition.
  • Trainings on team building, team building – conducted with accompanying teams.
  • Participants must prepare robots for two competitions (Robo-Sumo, Line Racing).

Goals and objectives


The main goals and objectives are:

  • Popularization of scientific and technical creativity among schoolchildren aged 12 to 16 years.
  • Stimulating the interest of schoolchildren in the field of innovation and high technology.
  • Development of information culture, giftedness, personal qualities, creative and intellectual abilities based on cognitive interest in programming and robotics.
  • Stimulating the interest of schoolchildren in education, developing motivation for further improvement of knowledge, popularization of training courses in the field of robotics and programming.
  • Creating conditions for identifying, promoting and encouraging intellectually gifted students.

General guidance and methodological support


The general management is carried out by the organizing committee of the competition. The composition of the organizing committee is formed, coordinated and approved by the AUE and AITU.

Organizing Committee:

- determines the forms, procedure and timing of the competition;

- provides general management of the preparation and conduct of the competition;

- prepares the necessary equipment for the competition, analyzes and summarizes the results;

- approves the composition of the jury and organizes its work;

- solves issues of financing and material support;

-considers proposals to improve the procedure for conducting the competition.

The jury of the competition:

- develops the format of the competition, methodological recommendations for the event;

- organizes judging of competitions;

- sums up the results;

- submits to the organizing committee a report on the;

- determines the winners;

- prepares proposals for awarding winners.


Organization procedure and dates of the event


Robotics competitions are held:

- The qualifying (presentation stage) is held remotely at the end of October 2023.

- The final (republican stage) is held on November 27-28, 2023, in Astana.

The competition is held in two rounds, for all interested schoolchildren aged 12 to 16 years.

Venue of the competition: Astana, EXPO Congress Center.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted from September 25, 2023.

The rules of the competition will be freely available for participating teams from September 25, 2023.


Financing of the Competition


Financing is carried out at the expense of the Public Fund "Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Fund".

For the organization of the contest and the formation of the prize fund, it is possible to attract sponsorship funds.


Summing up and awarding the winners


The results of the competition are summed up for each registered participant/team individually.

All participants receive certificates and are awarded prizes depending on the nomination.

The winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes.
